Laura Metaal Eygelshoven BV – a sheet metal company that offers much more than just cutting, folding and welding.
We have extensive in-house knowhow when it comes to super-strength steels, engineering and welding techniques for demanding applications. We aim to provide you with a full-service solution, from coil to component, ranging in thickness from 3mm to 50mm and lengths of up to 14 meters.

Laura Metaal aims to exceed your wishes. We set high standards with regard to the topicality of our ISO9001:2015 certification. Laura Metaal has consequently configured its Handbook in line with the High Level Structure (HLS), which combined provide a framework for the 7 most important management themes and ensure a good interface between the strategic and operational levels. On the basis of our ‘Plug-in model’, depending on market needs we are able to rapidly provide a framework for requirements for a wide range of projects, such as:

At documentation level, Laura Metaal uses an ‘interactive’ handbook, which means that the latest versions of instructions can always be consulted at all levels within the organisation.
Authorised to provide re-certification (re-stamping)
Laura Metaal is authorised to undertake the re-certification (also known as re-stamping or re-marking) of materials on its own site, with due regard for the applicable design standards or client specification. The re-certification covers materials with a 2.1, 2.2 and 3.1 attestation (NEN-EN 10204) according to Para. 3.1.5, EN 764-5, Para. 6.2.2 and AD2000 HP, Para. 4. Our re-certification authority offers clients the benefit of increased material traceability.
Ink and/or hard stamping
The re-certification methods that Laura Metaal is able to offer are very diverse. For example, re-stamping can be undertaken automatically in our production line using indelible ink stamps (usually used for thin sheet material to avoid the risk of notching). If required, we can hard-stamp material lengths for our clients. Both options of course come complete with associated re-certification certificates. Manual options are also available such a manually applying stamped lettering and/or ink stamps.
Positive Material Identification (PMI) / Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES)
Together with its partners, Laura Metaal is able to go far beyond what its competitors are able to offer. If you are in doubt about the material quality we can arrange a complete Positive Material Identification (PMI) for you, whereby a fast and reliable quantitative element analysis of metal alloys can be undertaken using Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES). This OES analysis allows Laura Metaal to undertake accurate and stable analyses of a wide range of alloys and elements very easily.
The certainty that Laura Metaal offers you therefore goes far beyond the simple administration of associated documentation and material certificates.
First in the Netherlands to be EN 1090 certified
EN 1090 is a standard that allows Laura Metaal to fabricate structural components in batches or as a one-off. Laura Metaal has the following certifications: EN 1090-1 and EN 1090-2 (EXC3), Welding process 135, Material groups 1.1, 1.2, 2.1 and 3.1.
EN 1090 is important for everyone involved in steel structures, from clients, suppliers, contractors, supervising authorities, design engineers, designers to consulting engineers. Laura Metaal is certified for the fabrication of steel structures, and has detailed knowledge that allows it to assist clients in specifying requirements for the conformity of structural parts, even in the preliminary stages of a project.
Because Laura Metaal is certified for Execution Class 3 (EXC3) this means we are your ideal partner for complex structural parts /structures.
EN 1090-1 is a standard that allows processing to be undertaken on products that are intended to be steel structures. To meet the conditions for applying the CE mark (in the cases where this is therefore a statutory obligation), Laura Metaal must, as the 'steel constructor', conform to all conditions specified in NEN-EN 1090-1 (FPC, welding certificate, etc.). Many of those conditions are explained and prescribed in EN 1090-2.
EN 1090-2 can be agreed between the client and Laura Metaal. For projects undertaken according to the EN 1090-2 standard, Laura Metaal must be able to demonstrate that it conforms to the quality requirements of ISO 3834-2. Our NEN-EN 1090-2 certification is important for this because it includes the technical requirements which we have to use to demonstrate conformity with the requirements referred to in NEN-EN 1090-1. These days, NEN-EN 1090-2 is applicable to virtually all contracts.
Factory Production Control (FPC)
A sound and proven method of internally prepared FPCs form the basis of Laura Metaal’s Factory Production Control system and specifies production methods, production control and measuring systems with associated continuous attention for process improvements resulting in changes to the FPC. This FPC system specified in accordance with the requirements of our ISO 9001 certification.

Certified Factory Production Control (FPC) system)
FPCs are certified annually by our notified body. The aim of this task is to check that the FPC system for fabricating steel load-bearing structures can conform to the requirements of European Standard EN 1090. FPC certification involves checking whether the quality of our people, production resources and our site are adequate for supplying the requested products.
On the basis of EN 1090, Laura Metaal is authorised – under special conditions - to issue a CE declaration for steel structures. Laura Metaal has an FPC certificate based on EN 1090-1 in order to be able to issue a CE declaration. This allows Laura Metaal to demonstrate compliance with the requirements and to apply a CE mark on the product.
Welding for demanding applications
ISO 3834 specifies detailed quality requirements for the fusion welding of metals in our workshop. For NEN-EN-ISO 1090 work, Laura Metaal is able to conform to the quality requirements of ISO 3834-2, for example the requirements specified for the technical assessment of welding work, including welding method qualifications, requirements for welders, inspections and Non-Destructive Testing. Laura Metaal also pays due attention to subcontracting, inspection and testing staff, maintenance and inspection of welding equipment and traceability. For welding work we also review the welding additives, material storage, heat treatment and welding ourselves.
Laura Metaal has extensive experience of processing the following materials:
- S235, S275, S355, S690QL (NEN-EN 10025)
- S700MC (NEN-EN 10149)
During the fabrication of steel structures requirements are specified for the welding work to be undertaken and the associated welding inspection. The specific requirement from EN 1090-2, Section 12.4 is that ‘all welds must be visually inspected over their entire length’. Our Visual Inspectors provide insight into all aspects of the visual inspection of welding work. What is important for the client is that Laura Metaal therefore conforms more than adequately to EN 1090 qualification requirements for personnel in accordance with Section 4 of the EN-ISO 17637 standard. Laura Metaal is accredited for visually inspecting welding work in line with NEN-EN ISO 5817. We prepare comprehensive reports for our clients on request and clients can also contact Laura Metaal for all Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) that may be required. These tests are undertaken in accordance with ISO 9712. Inspection reports can also be prepared for this testing.
